This is the first table reading of Lady LiberTease.
Join us on Zoom for the reading, and support Kirsten’s journey from the page to the stage as she prepares for her world premiere performance in March!

Kirsten, a liberal Diversity and Inclusion educator becomes fascinated with learning about “Columbia”- a goddess the Founding Fathers created as a symbol of unification. As Kirsten does more of a deep dive into Columbia, it becomes clear, not all of Lady Liberty’s representation is rosy and there are reasons the goddess may be forgotten. As the swamp drains and tensions mount in the District of her name, the spirit of Columbia haunts Kirsten. Together they wrestle with their identities and history- the good, the bad, and the ugly past of the United States. Kirsten reckons with her own family history and white female representation. Are you accountable if you feel you do not count? Is liberty, and justice for all just a tease?
