Join writer & performer Sheila Silver and Director & developer Jessica Lynn Johnson for a virtual table reading of ALL THE ADAMS IN THE WORLD via Zoom!

All the Adams in the World follows a child with severe autism and his mother as they navigate the foreign world of autism.

From diagnostic testing as an infant to moving into a group home setting as an adult, each chapter provides an intimate understanding of what Sheila and Adam have experienced while meandering through the many mazes of the medical world, special education, social ostracism, and acceptance.

Sheila tells their story through the many roles she plays as Adam’s mother: advocate, conservator, and above all, the person who refuses to give up on her son.

Sheila explains how life with Adam is like “Saturday Night Live with the Jerry Lewis Telethon running through it.” A veteran educator of nearly forty years, Sheila has sat on every side of the IEP table, providing experiences and insights as a parent, general education teacher, special education teacher, and parent mentor.

Her hope is that each chapter provides perspectives to parents, siblings, teachers, and medical practitioners who courageously strive to untangle the mysterious world of autism.
