Over the past couple of years, Maria has created a solo performance called Atypical Grace, which brings awareness of learning disabilities to life through storytelling.
The show has been successfully performed at festivals around the Greater Los Angeles area and received strong reviews from both audience members and the media. More importantly, it authentically creates genuine understanding and empathy for parents, children, and educators involved in the world of learning disabilities..Parents see they’re not alone in their journey, and educators gain a fresh perspective of their students’ experiences.
Because of this remarkable response, She’s exploring a novel idea. She’s exploring further development of the show with schools and organizations as a broader educational experience. It’s no longer just a show – it’s an evening of nurturing community and collaboration. Maria has created an offering that pairs her one-woman show, focused on learning disabilities, with a curated experience designed to facilitate education, conversation, and shared understanding among parents and educators alike.
