When fun-loving, usually jovial Ruthie experiences a life altering event, she is forced into chaotic despair. Can she find the tools to recreate tranquility, peace of mind and most importantly…get her sense of humor back?
As she reflects upon her colorful life, she realizes that she’s survived games like Risk, Operation, Slip N Slide, and even Jewish Camp in Texas! She starts to laugh at her own jokes again.
Despite the laughter, Ruthie questions her mental health – even more so, after her therapist abruptly retired. Oy vey! During this process the depths of her Jewish faith are revealed.
Along the healing journey she begins to fall not just in love with God – but in reliance on God. Which interestingly leads her to falling in love with Argentine Tango. Will it be enough to reignite her passion and purpose in life or will she dance alone with her mascara running down her face from bawling?
This fun 60 minute one woman show uses comedy, truthfulness, multimedia and a special Argentine Tango dance to examine positive ways to face life challenges and aging by learning to trust again in faith.
