Past Projects

Brandon, a 1st generation Indian American with zero ties to India, woefully cannot understand what makes him “Indian”. So, to get him over his feelings of isolation and alienation from his culture, a herd of (imaginary) ancestors show up to help him figure it out.

Using laughter and introspection, this one man show explores the universal struggle of understanding how you fit into this world, the expectation of what you’re “supposed” to be, and finding the value in who you really are.

Written and performed by Brandon Raman, an actual 1st generation Indian American with zero ties to India, he does his best to give you a peek into the mind of a person taught to be ashamed of his own skin, only to learn to be ashamed of being ashamed of it. And the headache that follows.

A cultural identity meltdown is no joke. But it can still be very funny.
