When a workaholic’s therapy‑bot warns she’s one Zoom call away from going “cray‑cray,” Jacqi Bowe takes the ultimate trip — a musical comedy adventure packed with imaginary frenemies, epic FOMO, and a dancing cat who knows self‑care better than she does. Hashtag What I Did on My Summer FAKE‑Cation turns the quest for balance into a hilarious, heartfelt journey of burnout, caretaking, and rediscovering joy.
Jacqi has been saying she needs to take a vacation for a looooong time. And she still has not partied like it’s 1999. Fifty-two percent of those who don’t take paid time off say they don’t need to. One hundred percent of their friends, families and coworkers feel they do. So all of you who feel wanderlusterly deprived, this mini va-cay will have you feeling rejuvenated and the big bonus, your inner circles will be thnking you.
WHEN AND WHERE will this wild mis-dis-adventure be taking place?

going cray-cray, she plans her dream vacation. Can Jacqi silence those imaginary frenemies in
or head or bury that unrequited wanderlust under the travel brochures resting on the coffee table?
A musical and storytelling adventure around the world in less than eighty minutes, exploring

mortality and over-priced smoothies.

It’s a character driven comedy.
Hey, we all talk to ourselves. Jacqi just does it onstage. We get insight into this lonely, unrequited, lost in her own condo accousted by a cast of imaginary frenemies, the micro-managing voices in her head. Prudence, her inner deadbeat, with zillion plus cautionary tales. warns “That’s why people say ‘Safe Travels!” Because it’s dangerous out there. Pepper, her inner throuple loving, Myley Cyrus wanna-be, preaches Carpe Diem, Your joyalogical clock is tick-tick-tick-tickin’. Of course there is the token dancing cat and spoiler alert, a rumored cameo by Debbie Reynolds and/or Elizabeth Taylor.
You get to witness an excruciating tele therapy, with Wil-he-mean-a. It means helmet in German. A visit to Madame Majorie Cora Feldman, medium to the stars. Dead ones. And an out of body experience at Forest Lawn. May I mention again. It’s a comedy. Just playing with those serious subjects of isolation, FOMO, guilt, care taking parents and mortality.
She starts out one step away from being banned by her accountability group, abandoned by her cabin fevered Cat Zoey, one chat away from being ghosted by her Therapy-Bot Vicki The Validator and ends up…you’ll just have to come and find out!!
It’s a dramady. Like her mom always says “It’s a fact and not a rumor. Don’t leave the house until youpack your sense of humor. Jacqi is becoming her mom. Sometimes she doesn’t approve of herself and always doesn’t approve of her mother’s hallicunatory friends. Yes, Jacqi dives right into the heavy subject of caretaking family members with Altzheimer’s BUT the pathos is offset by a dancing, singing cat.
