This Solo Lab covers the digital side of solo performance that often gets overlooked until the last minute.

**Your Website: Your Digital Home Base**

When someone Googles your name, what do they find? We’ll look at what pages solo artists actually need, compare platforms like WordPress, Squarespace, and Wix, touch on basic SEO, and talk about organizing your press materials and performance info. Does your website exist yet?

**Digital Marketing: Getting Seen**

You’re creating content, but is anyone noticing? We’ll discuss platform strategies for theatre, building a content calendar, what analytics can tell you, email marketing basics, when paid ads might make sense, and engagement tactics. How do you cut through the noise?

**Multimedia: In Your Show and Your Promotion**

Multimedia has two roles. For performance, we’ll talk about integrating projection, sound, and pre-recorded elements, plus tech and budget considerations. For marketing, we’ll look at trailers and sizzle reels, repurposing content for social, and accessible tools for creation. What’s possible with what you have? This session gives you an overview of the digital tools available to solo artists. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of what to tackle and where to start.Let’s talk about the stuff that happens offstage.

About the Solo Lab instructor:

Rejyna Douglass Whitman is a trans artist who crowd funded and produced a solo play that won the Transcendent Craft Award and the Daredevil Award at Hollywood Fringe 2025 and was selected for the Santa Monica Binge Fringe Festival. She has decades of experience raising funds for creative projects and knows how to navigate the barriers that artists face. She will show you the specific strategies she used to market, promote and enhance her award winning show.
