Teri thought she was ready to finally keep her promise to her mother and share her story when Covid hit and her plans were derailed. She then stayed inside and went inward. As she reflected upon her life journey and her family’s history in the San Fernando Valley, she recalled the years of growing up alongside her relatives on Hart Street. Through a series of heartfelt stories, quirky props like hulahoops and a vintage prom dress, and powerful multimedia, Teri expresses how she went from being horizontal to vertical despite various painful losses. Along the way this valley girl began to embrace the messages of Spirit, and recall the nuggets of wisdom that fell from her family tree. Inspired by the lyrics of James Brown, Teri learned to get on up over and over again. Will Teri be able to use her tools of movement, meditation and meetings to get anchored and find her center?
